Have you ever seen an Instagram slime post that wows you with how amazingly cool it is, and get frustrated because you think you will NEVER be able to make it? Well, we developed a brand new recipe that will blow your mind. Introducing the GALAXY AVALANCHE SLIME!! It doesn't have to be galaxy though. Feel free to mix up different colors for cool combos.
Ingredients:
1. Clear slime {Clear glue, warm water (half or 1/3 of glue quantity depending on how much PVA in glue), activator (preferably borax for clearer effect))
2. Markers (we like markers better with the vary of colors) or food coloring
3. Small batch of any kind of white slime. For example, fluffy slime and glossy slime. (We used fluffy slime and it was lovely)
If you are using fluffy slime then you will need clear glue, *white glue (read notes), any kind of activator (any would work), shaving cream or foaming soap
If you are using glossy slime then you will need clear glue, white glue, any kind of activator, and lotion
You are welcomed to use any other kind of slime that is NOT clear (or else it will clash)
Tools* (read notes):
Mixing stick or spoon
Container with a lid (doesn't have to be air-tight)
Two bowls for mixing
Two cups filled with warm water
Instructions:
Clear Slime:
1. Take your clear glue and pour however much you need or want into a bowl
2. Add warm water and mix until the solution has the same consistency throughout
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Activator:
Contact lens solution- Add 1&1/2 pinch of baking soda to the glue solution and mix. Then, add small droplets of contact lens solution and stir until the slime doesn't stick to the bowl. Poke with your fingers to check if it's ready to knead.
Borax - Add 3/4 teaspoon of borax to warm water and stir until it dissolves. Add gradually to the glue solution and mix until it is pulling away from the bowl. Poke with your fingers to check if it's ready to knead.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Start kneading and stop until it is no longer sticky
4. Set aside for later uses
Fluffy slime:
1. Pour clear glue (or white glue) into a bowl
2. Add shaving cream, foaming soap, etc. at the quantity of about 1.5 of the glue
3. Mix and it should be like whipped cream
4. Since shaving cream makes the glue solution easier to activate, only add a little bit of your activator at a time
5. use the same activator recipe listed above and remember to knead
6. Set aside for later uses
Glossy slime:
1. add your choice of glue into a bowl
2. add a little bit of water
3. (optional) add white paint
4. add about four pumps of lotion and mix
5. using, the recipe above, add your activator and mix slowly
6. Knead then set aside for later uses
Decoration! BE CREATIVE
1. In the bottom of your cup, place the clear slime
2. Take your choice of either markers or food coloring
- For galaxy slime, you might want to use the colors pink, red, violet, lilac, blue, and indigo
3. Add your coloring
Food coloring
- Use a drop of coloring all around the slime, forming a circle, and drop some coloring inside the circle
-Taking a Popsicle stick or pencil and poke the slime at where the colors are placed. This helps the slime become more avalanche - ish.
Markers
-Take a marker and draw dots on the surface of the slime and poke in after you draw.
4. Add you next layer - it can be your glossy slime, fluffy slime, or any other things you want to add.
5. On the top, sprinkle a little bit of glitter or sequins
6. Take a pen or stick and poke the slime again
7. Pop the lid back on
PATIENCE IS THE KEY!
Wait for 2-3 days as the slime drips down, then Voila!

Notes:
*White glue: Many white glue don't contain enough PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) to be fully activated. Unless you are 100% sure that your white glue is capable, do not add it!
*Tools: Don't use kitchen or dining utensils. If you do, don't use it for dining or cooking purposes again. You don't want to be eating this stuff!
